From our shepherd huts to our award-winning food menu, we have plenty to offer. In this blog, we’ll be listing 12 reasons to visit our North Norfolk hotel:

  • We’re in a beautiful location

Our Norfolk hotel is nestled in the 2,000 acre Kelling Estate, which is considered an area of outstanding natural beauty. Here you can explore and wander through the idyllic woodland and heathland.

  • We adore dogs

We understand that pets are a welcome addition to your family, so you may wish them to accompany you on your stay. We’re proud to be a dog-friendly hotel, with a selection of rooms for your canine companion.

  • You can dine alfresco

This summer, dine in our tranquil, secluded gardens. Nature is at the heart of our hotel, even intertwined into our name. Therefore, it would only be right to allow guests to sample our menu in the outdoors.

  • You can sleep in a shepherd hut

If you’re seeking a unique and memorable break, look no further than our bespoke shepherd huts. Each hut offers uninterrupted privacy, a crackling wood burner and a cosy dining area. Find out more: Shepherd Huts

  • Our suites are named after villages

We take extreme pride in our location. So much so that we’ve named a variety of our rooms after local wildlife and destinations, including Cley, Morstone and Weybourne. Each room has its own unique personality, complete with stylish decor.

  • We serve a scrumptious afternoon tea

Enjoy a traditional British treat in the North Norfolk countryside. Recline and relax as our Holt hotel serves up delectable finger sandwiches, cakes and scones. Of course, no afternoon tea would be complete without a steaming hot drink.

  • We’re near Holt Station

Less than a ten minute drive from our hotel is Holt Station. Here you can ride on a steam train in timeless luxury, admiring the views from your window. Eech train departs to Sheringham, a nearby charming seaside town.

  •  Our food menu is award winning

Did you know our menu has an AA Rosette? We’ve prepared a selection of delicious dishes for our menu, including Cromer Crab Salad and Beetroot Pannacotta. What will you choose?

  • We’re steeped in history

Did you know our building dates back to the early 1900s? Commissioned by Sir Henri Deterding, the founder of petroleum company Shell, the family lived in the estate for many years.

  • We’re close to the coast

If you care to take a 30-minute stroll from our hotel, you will find the dog-friendly Weybourne Beach. Also nearby is Cley’s pebbled beach and the famous Blakeney Point, home to adorable seals.

  • Baths here are divine

For a little extra indulgence, soak into a luxurious bath. Enjoy fragrant Harrogate Spa toiletries whilst listening to slow songs on a Roberts radio. Our deluxe double rooms also feature a 28” bathroom television. See more: Deluxe Double Bedroom
